As the Software QA Lead this position develops, publishes, and implements test plans as part of the Software Development Team. Creates and maintains quality assurance standards. Has significant interaction with internal/external users. Accountable for creation and execution of QA requirements, test plans and scripts.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a history of academic and professional success. Ability to work directly with peers and users is a must - demonstrating excellent oral and written communication skills. A complete understanding of all aspects involving Software Testing (QA/Integration/System/UAT/UX). Ability to coordinate with various departments for joint testing to ensure the software performs proficiently. Assist in managing the deployment of software released for testing and production - which includes documentation/initial training.
3D Modeling Experience (optional)
Responsible for participating in all phases of the quality assurance testing process - this includes adherence to requirements, creating test plans and associated scripts, execution of test scripts, and recording execution results. The Lead Software Tester is expected to research and determine scope and severity of issues before engaging software developers. Must be able to articulate to others the issues and respective impacts. The Lead Software Tester should have a deep knowledge of multiple complex applications and provides subject matter expertise to set direction and create test strategies. Participates in cross-functional discussions to review the impact of application changes from both internal and external interfaces on the quality of their applications. Works with other members of the Software Development Team to participate in solution design to ensure testability of functions and applications. They must be able to communicate the daily progress of their team, and interact with other areas of the business.
