    The Merchandising Planner 2 will manage the reporting tools essential to financial data implemented by the Product Manager/Director in order to succeed in profitable product strategies. The Merchandising Planner 2 will also manage the Merchandising Planner 1 in partnership with Product Manager/Director.


    • Advanced in Excel including pivot tables and formulas
    • Experience with Windows, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
    • Self-Motivated person that is able to work with multiple personality types.
    • Advanced analytical skill set with developed time management and multitasking abilities.
    • Proactive and action results orientated
    • 2-4 years relevant work experienceUndergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
    • Multi-task oriented and possess the ability to make decisions to achieve results
    •  Strong communication and negotiation skills
    • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Ability to make decisions, communicate effectively utilizing telephone, email, or one on one conversation.
    • Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Must be able to maintain composure and handle high stress situations.
    • Excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills
    • Required to learn and perform Oracle or consultant mode order entry
    • Required to use SalesForce, communicating on customer issues and problem solving accordingly
    • Ability to make oral and written presentations; ability and confidence to present opinions and thoughts in a clear, unbiased manner
    • Ability to make decisions to achieve desired results
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.


    • Responsible for overall forecasting and inventory process to ensure accurate and timely submissions
    • Direct liason between the company’s inventory control planners and merchandising planners
    • Responsible for product performance analysis through full cycle of an item and respond with necessary inventory reorders or markdown strategies to maximize product sales.
    • Proactively identify issues and opportunities within product mix, and use analytics and creative problem solving to drive profitable solutions.
    • Work closely with Product Managers/Directors to develop new tools for reporting on product results.
    • Lead and Recommend markdown and exit strategy to maximize profitability. 
    • Coach, train and develop Inventory Planners.
    • Create new Ad Hoc reporting to assist Merchants in financial reviews
    • Routinely present recommendations and other analysis to Product Managers/Directors related to driving goals.
    • Act as subject matter expert on cross functional projects to help drive overall profitability and efficiency.
    • Create reporting for all Brochures & Catalogs published and present results on a monthly basis
    • Presents financial information at WBR and supports Senior Merchandising Planner and Director in reporting metrics used at SABR, Period Review, and Board Reviews
