  • Overview

    This position is responsible for producing manually machined and generalized steel parts and components. This includes machinery/equipment parts such as shafts, turned threads, bushings, worn machine tool components and multiple various forms of manual machinist activities. This position also offers some support to Tool Makers in creating basic steel components used in creating dies.


    • High school diploma and or Vocational School diploma or equivalent.
    • Three to five years experience in field or a related field.
    • Good communication and Team Skills.
    • Able to follow verbal instructions as well as producing steel parts from 2-D blue prints.


    • Set up and proficiently operate all tool room manual machines.
    • Proficient in reading and interpreting basic 2-D blue prints
    • Command of basic shop math
    • Sets up and operates 4-slide wire forming machine.
    • Some set up of power press tooling used for die struck production.
    • Troubleshoots some minor tooling issues which may develop during production run.
    • Repairs & rebuilds auto feeder mechanisms as needed.
    • Performs basic sharpening of single operation tools.
    • Assists Tool Makers in preparing some die components.
    • Set up and operate Servo Mills to produce forcer components.
