  • Overview

    Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Operations, the Corp Ops Project Planner is responsible for planning and organizing events and/or meetings for the organization.  He or she will also be responsible for all operational, implementation and post-event activities.

    Qualifications

    • College degree in Marketing, PR Communications or related field
    • 3-5 years’ experience in PR event management or related field
    • Proven negotiating skills with hotels, catering services and other suppliers
    • Ability to develop professional relationships in all aspects of the position that result in stable, consistent, reliable and courteous communication when dealing with other organizations
    • Ability to solve problems and work independently in a changing and multi-tasking environment with numerous deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability for accuracy and thoroughness with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Effective time management, organizational and leadership skills

    Responsibilities

    • Pre-event and onsite communication with participants
    • Relationship building with key stakeholders
    • Air and ground travel arrangements
    • Establish staff schedules, task assignments and equipment allocation to ensure conformance with department objectives and goals
    • Represent and deliver service excellence that is in keeping with Stuller's brand
    • Negotiate agreements with outside providers and subcontractors to ensure lowest cost and highest quality of service
    • Work closely with internal and external event planning committees to define event goals, objectives and specific implementation plans that promote the company's sales objectives or branding requirements
    • Utilize best practices and principles to establish and maintain communication protocols and operating procedures with planning committees, subcontractors and program staff
    • Source venues, recommend and engage catering, acquire supporting technology and coordinate development of all collateral communication materials to execute a high quality event
    • Maintain a calendar of events and manage a system that enables long-term planning and effective event management for the company's meetings, conferences and local events.
    • Work closely with sales, administration and finance staff to oversee and facilitate event registration processes
    • Work with marketing communications staff to develop branding, collateral materials and tools for events as required such as event agendas and programs
    • Coordinate the activities of personnel, subcontractors and vendors as required to successfully execute all aspects of each event
    • Provide post-event analysis, budget recaps and participant feedback and incorporate learnings into future plans
    • Develop event reports and distribute as required to key internal stakeholders as required.
