    The Marketing Project Manager is responsible for executing and maintaining the promotional calendar for print and web. As the key contact between internal clients and the marketing department, the Marketing Project Manager works directly with the Director of Customer Communication Projects and cross-functional teams to coordinate action to complete non-catalog marketing plans.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field preferred.
    • Experience and/or education in project management or related field.
    • Experience and/or education in marketing, advertising or related field
    • Client interaction/account management experience.

    • Initiate new projects by gathering key information necessary to execute marketing plans, project plans, timelines, etc.
    • Facilitate production meetings.
    • Participate in strategy meetings as necessary.
    • Provide information to the Executive Director for marketing operations budgeting and financial forecasting.
    • Attend meetings on behalf of the Executive Director and Director, as requested.
    • Ensure that project timelines are met at each step, bring awareness to all parties when deadlines are missed.
    • Enforce use and reporting of project management software internally and cross-functionally.
    • Set and manage internal client objectives and expectations.
    • Develop lasting relationships with internal client personnel that foster client ties.
    • Communicate internal clients’ feedback to the creative and production and discuss the next steps in the project or campaign.
    • Communicate effectively with internal clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
    • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
    • Communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
    • Continually seek opportunities to increase internal customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
    • Build a knowledge base of each internal client’s business, organization and objectives.
    • Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors.
    • Ensure projects are completed according to the project plan, timelines and within budget.
    • Oversee the implementation of all print promotion, collaborate on online/web/email marketing (with digital team).
    • Create and execute project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
    • Identify resources needed and work collaboratively with Projects Planners to assign individual responsibilities.
    • Manage day-to-day aspects of a project and scope, manually and in Project Management and production software.
    • Check the status of each client's job(s) and provide status updates to key business drivers (ED, BU, Sales, etc.) regularly.
    • Facilitate presentation of concepts/layouts/copy to the internal/or external clients with creative team.
    • Review deliverables prepared by marketing team before passing to client, implement quality assurance procedures.
    • Proofread all marketing projects prior to client review and final production.
    • Finalize spec sheets for Production Director.
    • Manage project budgets with creative and production teams and Exec Dir of Marketing.
    • Coordinate and facilitate communication to printers and fulfillment houses as necessary.
    • Help outline project plans.
    • Challenge direct reports to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor.
    • Manage the development of the team by ensuring project tasks are in line with individual's career interests and corporate goals.
    • Inspire coworkers to attain goals and pursue excellence.
    • Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.
    • Manage the process of innovative change effectively.
