The HR Recruiting Assistant is an integral role supporting the recruiting function, and contributes to the overall success of the team by providing a high level of customer service, administrative support, and project coordination throughout the recruiting process.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business or other related field of study.
  • 1-3 years experience in Human Resources preferred.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with all employees/candidates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters and maintain employee privacy.


  • Develop and implement processes for the coordination of phone, onsite and virtual conference interviews for candidates.
  • Develop and implement processes for the coordination of candidate travel and expense management.
  • Proactively work with hiring managers to identify, communicate and follow the appropriate recuiting and hiring strategy for their open position.
  • Deliver a seamless and positive recruiting experience for all candidates.
  • Assisting management with on-boarding new professional associates to the organization (workstation, email address, etc.).
  • Provide management with requested reports and documents.
  • Maintain career website to ensure everything is consistent and up to date.
  • Manage job postings on career web sites such as ULL, LSU, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Participate in recruiting events and campus career fairs.
  • May work on other special projects to include coordination of training workshops and TMS or LMS implementation.
  • Provide administrative support to the Recruiting and HR team.
