Perform a variety of advanced level metal fabrication operations and duties as assigned to service and assist in breakdown of precious metal material used for finished and die struck products.


  • Able to comprehend and utilize measuring devices
  • Mathematical aptitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to stand for long periods
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 25 pounds with regularity and occasionally 50-75 pounds
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent required


  • Follow all prescribed safety regulations and practices
  • Highly repetitive and routine duties to provide an introduction to the fabrication process
  • Requires care and constant attention to shop activities to avoid injury to self or others
  • Transfer materials to location specified within the process routing
  • Perform lifting/positioning of metal for shearing operations in the raw stage
  • Maintain work area on fabrication floor in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Basic equipment operations
  • Initial breakdown of raw billets to specific and/or desired thickness
  • Pre-finishing of billet utilized for customers and/or default/production jobs within precision tolerances specified by the process routings
  • Perform mathematical calculations to assist in segregating of material to respective jobs
  • Advanced equipment operations
  • production setups i.e. wire drawing sequence, power turk roll changes, 4-hi
  • Perform advanced mathematical calculations i.e. material requirements, process yields, process routings
  • Adhere to precise specified finished gauge tolerances
  • Maintain material quality segregation and material quantity accountability
  • Basic comprehension of metallurgical properties
