The Human Resources Intern is responsible for supporting HR Management with the administration of various Human Resources functions such as employment, recruiting, events, training, compensation, employee benefits and the wellness program.
Current student enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree program with an interest and aptitude to work in Human Resources.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to multi-task.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy laws for protected health information.
Administrative duties such as filing, scanning of employee and benefits folders, and preparing new hire materials.
Maintain Applicant Tracking system to post jobs and develop reports, assist with sourcing, phone screens, scheduling interviews, and other tasks related to recruiting efforts.
Assist with updating job descriptions and posting jobs for vacant positions.
Coordinate trainings including new hire orientation activities.
Archive electronic versions of outdated benefit information and forms.
Review benefit enrollment forms for completion and notify employees of any corrections needed.
Organize benefit files for destruction and record retention.
